As part of the The Petit Festival du Film Francophone (PFFF!); an annual festival showcasing French-speaking films, 'Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person' emerges as a creation by Quebec filmmaker Ariane Louis-Seize. Known for her captivating and stylish coming-of-age exploration, "Les petites vagues," which earned recognition as one of Canada's Top Ten shorts in 2018, Louis-Seize ventures into feature filmmaking with this deadpan horror comedy. The narrative revolves around a young bloodsucker in Montreal who can only nourish herself by preying on individuals for whom she genuinely empathizes.

Sasha is a young vampire with a serious problem: she's too sensitive to kill. When her exasperated parents cut off her blood supply, Sasha's life is in jeopardy. Luckily, she meets Paul, a lonely teenager with suicidal tendencies who is willing to give his life to save hers. But their friendly agreement soon becomes a nocturnal quest to fulfill Paul's last wishes before day breaks. Featuring Sarah Monpetit, Steve Laplante, and Sophie Cadieux.
