Nikolay Khozyainov was the finalist of the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
He has won multiple prizes at major European piano competitions:

Moscow International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition for young pianists
Dublin International Piano Competition
He was also a prize winner at the Sydney International Piano Competition (Australia).
Maestro Khozyainov has been honored by numerous presidents and heads of state, great cultural and political figures.
In January 2018, the Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan celebrated Nikolay at his concert in Tokyo’s Suntory Hall.
In 2022 Nikolay Khozyainov was knighted by the Spanish Royal Family as Knight Commander.
In November 2022, Maestro Khozyainov was awarded the United Nations Gold Medal of Peace by the United Nations Peacekeeping Force.
Khozyainov performs regularly with the world's leading orchestras, such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, The Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland among many others.
Born in the outskirts of a small Siberian city in 1992, Khozyainov began to play the piano at the age of five and his musical talent was discovered immediately.
He moved to Moscow to continue his studies at the Central Musical School, and at the age of seven he made his public debut with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra playing the Handel Piano Concerto at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
He graduated from the Moscow P.I.Tchaikovsky Conservatory with a Gold Medal and the “Student of the Year” award.
Не now resides in Switzerland and performs across Europe, Japan, China, USA and Canada.
This performance at the Mary Irwin Theatre will be Nikolay’s first in Kelowna and will be the maestro's 5th visit to Canada.
