This workshop focuses on helping students feel comfortable around a camera, whether that be their phone camera or a sophisticated digital camera. We will cover basics including shutter speed, aperture, and fstop settings, including how to utilize each. As well, students will be given prompts to help them begin to find ways of expressing themselves with photography. Students will also be encouraged to form their own projects and share and connect with their classmates. The course objective is to have students learn to feel comfortable with photography as an artistic medium, learn to create an online portfolio to display their art, how to conceptualize their work, as well as explore different styles of photography.

Registration for this six-week series is $150 (plus GST) and includes all six classes. The class runs Thursdays from February 24-March 31, 4:30-6:00 PM in the Harmony Honda Paint and Drawing Studio.

Please note that masks are mandatory throughout the RCA, including when working in the paint studio. Patrons may remove their masks only temporarily, while actively eating or drinking.
